This Privacy Policy describes how Muuz LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit or use the website located at muuzos.net and its associated software-as-a-service tools, music player, episodes, Supporter memberships, and beat licenses (collectively, the "Service").

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide
When you create an account or interact with the Service, we may collect:

- Name and email address
- Username and password (stored in encrypted form)
- Payment information (processed by a third-party payment processor; we do not store full card details)
- Communications you send us (e.g., support requests, feedback)
- Profile information you choose to provide for the creator Network, such as your display name, roles, general location (city/region/country), bio, and links to your music or social profiles
- Information you give when you get a beat license, such as the name you want shown on the license as the licensee, and requests for larger licenses (for example, the intended use, expected streams, and your message)
- Community Spotlight and Made by Members submissions, such as whether it is a song or a beat, your artist or producer name, the title, the YouTube video link, whether the song is explicit, the genre, any notes, and your confirmation that it is your own work and follows the MUUZ guidelines. When you submit a video, we also save the link to the YouTube channel it comes from, as YouTube reports it
- Your profile, if you choose to make one: an avatar you build from our drawn shapes (we save only your choices, never a photo), and, if you have an approved Made by Members song, your artist name, a picture you pick (your avatar or a thumbnail from one of your approved videos), a short bio, links to your Instagram, TikTok, Spotify, Apple Music and SoundCloud profiles, and a featured song. We also save when you last changed it and any change that is waiting for our review
- The artists you follow and when you followed them, and when you last looked at new songs from them
- Reports you send about a song or artist page: what you reported, the reason you picked, and when. We use reports only to review content against our guidelines; the artist is never told who reported
- Your choice to get email updates about your submissions ("Email me when you decide"), if you turn it on
- If you are a producer who signs a Producer Authorization: the legal name you type, your account, your email address, the time you signed, and your producer share

1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, we may automatically collect certain technical data, including:

- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- A device identifier we use to help secure your account and limit the number of devices signed in at once
- Pages visited and features used
- Referring URLs and session duration
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies

1.3 Content You Create and Store With the Service
The Service includes a Cloud Library. While you are signed in, the creative content you make or save using the Service — including lyrics, project sessions, splits, planning data, and other tool outputs — is backed up to your member account and synced across the devices you sign in on. Deleted items are held in a "Trash" area for 30 days before they are permanently removed, so you can recover them.

Because this content is stored in association with your account, it is handled under this Privacy Policy. We access stored content only as needed to operate, secure, back up, sync, and support the Service, to enforce our Terms, or as required by law. We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not sell it.

1.4 Activity, Membership and Purchase Records
When you use the music player, episodes, memberships, and beat licenses, we keep records needed to run those features, including:

- Your likes, ratings, votes, and reminders
- If you take part in our rewards (loyalty) program, your points balance, rewards and points history, which Wix keeps for us and which we show to you on the Service
- Your episode watch progress, so you can pick up where you left off (signed-in viewers)
- Your membership plan, status, and start date (or, if you joined someone's team plan, that team membership), which we use to provide your plan's benefits (Fan, Artist, formerly called Supporter, or MUUZ OS), to turn off MUUZ ads for members, and to count your free beat downloads and rollover
- Your beat licenses and purchases: the beat, license number, license type, date, the exact license text and its digital fingerprint, the amount paid, the payment's ID and status (for example, paid, refunded, or charged back), and a PDF copy of the license
- Your video unlocks: which video, whether you paid with money or MUUZ Points, the amount or points, and the payment's ID and status
- Your Made by Members submissions and their review: when you sent each one, its status (waiting, live, taken out, or not picked), the reason we gave if it was not picked, when we decided, whether you have seen the result, and whether a decision email was sent. We use these to show you your results, tell you when to expect a decision, and count your monthly submissions
- One-time download links: when you download a beat you own from inside our app or another app's built-in browser, we create a private link tied to your account and license so the download can finish in your phone's browser without signing in again. Each link stops working after 15 minutes or 3 uses, and right away if the license is revoked
- Your reactions (likes and preset reactions on songs, beats and videos)
- Your playlists (their names and the songs, beats and videos in them, and whether you turned on a share link) and the reminders you set for upcoming releases. A shared playlist link shows the playlist's name and items, never your name or account. Visitors who aren't signed in keep reminders only in their own browser
- Sharing: a share code linked to your account, a random ID stored in your browser for the devices you use, and, for links you share, which song or video was opened, when, and whether it earned you points. For people who open a shared link, we keep the same kind of random browser ID (or their account, if signed in) so each person counts only once; we do not use it to identify them or to track them on other sites. We also keep the time of your last visit, so we can tell you what your shares brought since then

1.5 Third-Party Content (YouTube)
The Service may embed audiovisual content via the YouTube IFrame Player API, including trailers and promotional teasers. We do not collect or store data about the YouTube videos themselves. Your interactions with embedded YouTube players are governed by Google's Privacy Policy and YouTube's Terms of Service. We encourage you to review those policies at youtube.com/t/terms.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

- Create and manage your account
- Provide access to the Service, including member tools, your Cloud Library, the creator Network, music, episodes, and membership benefits
- Back up and sync your content across your devices while you are signed in
- Process payments, manage subscriptions, and calculate applicable taxes
- Issue, deliver, store, and verify beat licenses, and revoke a license when its payment is refunded or charged back or the license is breached
- Count free beat downloads and rollover for Artist and MUUZ OS members
- Operate account-security features, including limiting each membership to one active device at a time (you may resync to another device when you switch)
- Respond to your questions and license requests, and provide customer support
- Send you service-related notifications, purchase and license confirmations, and updates to our terms
- Review Made by Members submissions against our guidelines, tell you on the Service when to expect a decision, and show you the result. If you choose to get email updates, we also email you when we approve or decline your submission, and we check your email subscription status with Wix so we only offer that choice when it applies
- Show your profile. Your avatar appears on your own account. If you are an artist, we review new artist names and bios before they appear, check that each link is a profile address on that service, and use your artist name on all of your Made by Members songs so fans find your music in one place
- Let you follow artists. We use your follows to show your Following list and to tell you on the Service when an artist you follow has a new song approved. Artist pages show only how many people follow them, never who. If an artist's membership ends, they leave your Following list until they return; your follow is kept so they reappear automatically. You can unfollow at any time
- Keep the Service safe and working. We review reports, may pause or remove songs and reset artist pages that break our guidelines, and regularly check with YouTube that videos on Made by Members can still be played. Videos that can't are hidden until they play again, and the artist is told why
- Keep what you bought. A video you unlock stays available to you even if we later remove it from the catalog, unless the purchase is refunded
- Turn on MUUZ emails for your account when you tap "Email me when you decide" (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email)
- Alert our own team when submissions are waiting for review (these alerts show only how many are waiting, not who sent them)
- Suggest music you may like ("For you"). Suggestions are worked out on the Service from your likes, the songs you played (kept in your own browser), the songs' projects, tempo and key, how new they are, and how popular they are. We also use "fans also liked" totals: two songs are linked only when at least two different members liked both, and only the songs are shared, never who liked them. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising
- Send news about new releases, episodes, and sales, if you have not opted out (each marketing email includes an unsubscribe link)
- Maintain platform security and prevent fraud or abuse
- Improve the functionality and performance of the Service
- Comply with applicable legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not use your content for AI training or machine learning purposes without your express written authorization.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., local storage, session tokens, a stored device identifier) to:

- Keep you logged into your account
- Remember your preferences and settings
- Show your recently played tracks and where you stopped ("Jump back in"), which clips you have already watched, when you last visited (so we can mark what's new since then) and which premieres you asked to be reminded about. This stays in your browser on your device, is not sent to us, and is cleared when you clear your browser's site data
- When you share one of your playlists, show the first word of your public profile name (for example, "Shared by Jordan") to people who open the link. Nothing else about you is shown, and you can stop sharing at any time
- Count how many times each short clip is viewed, played with sound, tapped through or shared. These are totals only; they are not linked to you or your account
- Space out MUUZ ads for listeners without a plan: your browser keeps a count of how long you have listened since the last ad, so ads play at most about once every 15 minutes. This count stays on your device and is not sent to us
- Count how many times each ad is played, shown and clicked, by day. These are totals only; they are not linked to you or your account. If you click an ad from a business, you go to that business's website, which has its own privacy policy
- Operate device-limit and security features
- Analyze usage patterns to improve the Service

You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect certain features of the Service. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Service, including our website/hosting platform (Wix, which also stores your email subscription status and sends our emails and our internal review alerts), payment processors, email delivery, and analytics services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.

4.2 The Creator Network
If you choose to list yourself in the creator Network, the profile information you provide (such as your display name, roles, general location, bio, and music/social links) is visible to other members of the Network. Your email address is not shown publicly; it becomes visible to another member only when you and that member mutually opt in to connect. You choose whether to appear in the Network, and you can update or remove your listing. Please exercise caution about what you include in a public profile.

4.3 Beat License Verification
Each beat license has a license number and a check link so that anyone you share it with (for example, a distributor, label, or platform) can confirm it is genuine. Anyone with your license number can see the license details on the Service: the licensee name you provided, the beat, the producer, the license type, the date issued, the stream limit, the status (active or revoked), and the full license text. Your email address, payment details, and the price you paid are never shown publicly. Please choose the licensee name you are comfortable having shown on your license.

Producer Authorizations work the same way: anyone with an authorization's code can see on our verify page that it exists, its status, the beat titles, the signers' names, when it was locked, and its fingerprint. Emails, shares, and payment terms are never shown there.

4.4 Community Spotlight and Public Features
If you submit to the Community Spotlight (when offered) and your submission is featured, your artist name, song title, and video are shown publicly on the Service. If you submit to Made by Members and your song is approved, your artist name, song title, and video are shown publicly in that playlist while your membership is active. To show or hide it, we check whether your membership is active; we store only the result (active or not) and when we checked. Approved members also get a public artist page showing their artist name, their approved songs and beats, their genres, the month their first song was featured, and a link to the YouTube channel the video came from. It shows only while at least one of their songs is live. If an artist customizes their page, it also shows their chosen picture or avatar, their approved bio, their links and their featured song. Changes waiting for review are never shown publicly, and a fan's avatar is not shown to anyone else. Artist pages also show their follower count. Story cards are pictures made on your own device from what is already on the public artist page. Your email address is never shown. Submissions that are waiting, not picked, or taken out are never shown publicly, and the reasons for our decisions are shown only to you. Likes, reactions, ratings, and votes may be shown as totals without identifying you. The person who shared a link with you sees only their own totals (for example, "3 new listeners this month"), never who you are.

4.5 Legal Compliance & Protection
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to:

- Comply with applicable law, regulation, or legal process
- Respond to a valid legal request such as a subpoena or court order
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Muuz LLC, its users, or the public
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues

4.6 Business Transfers
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Service prior to your information becoming subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information and stored content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Deleted content is held in Trash for 30 days and then removed. We may also retain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

Made by Members submissions and their review records are kept while your account is active so we can show you your results and count your monthly submissions; you can ask us to remove a submission at any time. Your profile, the artists you follow and your reports are kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, we automatically remove your follows, your profile, your reports, your watch progress and your Made by Members submissions; records of purchases and licenses are kept for our business and tax records; you can change or remove your avatar, bio, links, picture and featured song yourself at any time, and we may reset any part of a profile that does not follow our guidelines. One-time download links expire after 15 minutes and cannot be used after that.

Beat license records (including the licensee name, license text, fingerprint, and PDF) are kept for as long as the license may be relied on, even if you delete your account, because they are needed to prove and verify your license. Purchase and payment records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us at the address listed in Section 10. Note that certain information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as the license and purchase records described above.

6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encrypted password storage, secure data transmission via HTTPS, short-lived links for downloads and member-only videos, and digital fingerprints that show whether a license's text has been changed.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

7. Children's Privacy
The creator tools, music player, and episodes are intended for a general audience. The creator Network is intended for adult creators: by creating a Network profile, you confirm that you meet the age of majority where you live and agree to our Terms of Service. Memberships and beat licenses are for people at the age of majority where they live, or with a parent's or guardian's permission. We do not verify age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child in a manner not permitted by law, we will promptly delete it. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

- Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information (a license's text, including its licensee name, cannot be edited once issued, but we can note a correction or issue a replacement where appropriate)
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions
- Objection: Object to certain processing of your personal information, including marketing emails
- Portability: Request that we provide your data in a portable format

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails, and from email updates about your submissions, at any time using the link in any email. If you do, you will still see every decision on the Service. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 10. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (such as YouTube and payment processors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you access through the Service.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update or modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Effective Date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, by sending a notification to the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles, consistent with the governing law provisions in our Terms of Service.

13. Videos from YouTube
Some videos on MUUZ, including the MUUZ Videos channel and songs in Made by Members, play from
YouTube. When you play one, YouTube (Google) may collect information about your device and
viewing and may use cookies, under Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
and YouTube's Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Ads shown in those videos come
from YouTube, not MUUZ. Tapping the YouTube logo or a channel name opens YouTube.
 
14. Music you send to MUUZ
When you send a YouTube link in Made by Members, we store the link, your member name and the
review result. If we pick it, it can appear in Made by Members, on your artist page, in
Spotlight and on MUUZ Videos, our free live channel. You can remove it anytime in Made by
Members → Your submissions → Remove from MUUZ; it comes off within 2 minutes. We keep a record
that it was sent and removed, so it still counts toward that month's sends.
 
15. Plans and checkout
Plans are bought through our website's secure checkout, run by Wix. We don't see or store your
full card number. We use your plan to unlock member perks, free beats and licenses, and keep a
record of the licenses you download so they stay valid after your plan ends.
 
16. Settings saved on your device
MUUZ remembers a few choices on your device, like the last MUUZ Live tab you opened, so the site
opens the way you left it. They aren't used to track you and you can clear them in your
browser settings.
